Gerry Boyle, Chairman

Gerry Boyle co-founded NYC-based Commodore Construction 30 years ago and has grown Commodore into one of the largest specialty contractors in the NY region. Over $3 billion worth of projects have been completed, including Yankee Stadium, Governor’s Island, JFK & LGA Airports, NY Presbyterian, NYU, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospitals, Disney, Amazon, Google’s NYC offices, and JP Morgan Chase’s new Park Ave headquarters.
Gerry has gone on to found or invest in numerous other businesses in the Real Estate, Insurance, Finance, Equipment Rental, and Materials manufacturing industries.


Gerry is Chairman of the Board of the Irish Arts Center and is a
strong supporter of various charities, including Friends of Saint Dominic’s, March of Dimes, Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, Boy Scouts of America, the Ireland  Funds, and SHARE. 

Stavros Karageorgiou, Partner

Stavros Karageorgiou, Chief Executive Officer

Stavros Karageorgiou is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in both the business and legal aspects of the construction and real estate industries. With over 15 years of managing construction businesses and a decade of practicing law, Stavros brings a balanced and analytical approach to his work. As a Certified Construction Manager and Licensed Master Electrician, he combines technical expertise with legal acumen. 


Stavros earned his Juris Doctor from Fordham School of Law, attending evening classes while overseeing construction and electrical businesses. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from NYU Polytechnic. 


Before his current role, he was a real estate and construction attorney at a leading national law firm, where he honed his skills in navigating complex legal landscapes. His diverse background equips him with the unique ability to effectively bridge the gap between business leadership and risk management.

Prakash Chandak, Chief Investment Officer

Prakash Chandak is a seasoned finance professional with 25 years of Wall Street experience and expertise across cash, derivatives and structured finance from investing, trading, pricing & valuations, risk management/ hedging, and funding. He started his career at Barclays Capital, New York and after a couple of years, joined Goldman Sachs, New York, and ended up spending a little over a couple of decades there.  


He Chairs the Wharton Club of New York’s Sustainable Finance Network and conducts training sessions on financial products, markets, risk and valuations and guest lectures at various American universities. He holds a BS in Economics/ Finance from the University of Delhi’s prestigious SRCC school and an MBA in Finance & Strategy from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business School. 


He holds Series 7 and Series 66 FINRA licenses, and he also holds a mathematical modeling certificate from Penn State University and is a Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Energy Risk Professional (ERP) Charter holder and a CFA L2 candidate.

Peter Woods, Real Estate Partner

Peter Woods joined Blue Cedar in 2024 to head the retail real estate development vertical and assistance in the business development and sales for Blue Cedar related entities. He previously held a Vice President position for JP Morgan Chase for 7 years. 


Prior to his Real Estate Development role at JP Morgan Chase, Pete worked in the facilities group for NYU Langone Medical Center, where he helped manage their off-site portfolio. Peter started his career as a Building Manager of a Class A Building in Midtown Manhattan. 


Pete is a lifelong New Yorker. He graduated from Xavier High School, Fordham University with a Business degree with a concentration in Finance and Management, and New York University with a Master’s in Real Estate with a concentration in Finance.

Rosie McGonigle, Controller

  

Rosie McGonigle joined Blue Cedar in 2024 as a fractional controller for portfolio companies. She previously held a Controller position at a union construction company for 7 years. Before her construction career, Rosie provided tax services at Ernst & Young, LLP to Real Estate clients including publicly traded REITs. Rosie also taught college level accounting courses at St. John’s University.


Rosie received her BA in Accounting and her MST in Tax from St. John’s University. She graduated Magna cum Laude and was inducted as a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. Rosie is a New York State Certified Public Accountant.

Laura Grace Ritten, Executive Assistant

 

Laura Grace Ritten joined Blue Cedar in 2025 as an executive assistant. She supports firm leadership and strategic initiatives with a unique blend of financial, operational, and executive acumen. Her career spans various industries—from wealth management and digital media to high-growth startups—demonstrating her versatility and results-driven mindset.


Laura Grace holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance from Mercy College, where she was an active member of the Business Honors Program. She also studied fashion marketing at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, bringing a global perspective to her work.


With experience at firms such as UBS and VML, Laura Grace's professional journey reflects a consistent focus on precision, stakeholder coordination, and the execution of complex deliverables. Her interests in community-centered initiatives further support Blue Cedar’s creative and partnership-oriented approach to investment.
